Alonissos is located in the Aegean Sea and belongs to the North Sporades Group of islands. It is an authentic Greek island mostly known for it incredible natural beauty and its amazing emerald crystal waters which are considered the cleanest in the Aegean Sea. Thanks to them Alonissos has been declared a marine park as it is a breeding ground for rare species of monk seal, the “Monachus Monachus”.

Alonissos is probably still one of the less visited islands of the Sporades and, unlike its noisy neighbour Skiathos, has a tranquil, soporific atmosphere with lots of old-world holiday charm.

Walkers and nature lovers have plenty to crow about as the island is green, fertile and heavily wooded with some jaw-dropping scenery for the footloose. Alonissos island is connected with high speed boats with the port of Saint Constantinos (southern Greece 170 km from Athens), Volos (central Greece 250 km from Athens) as well as Thessaloniki (Nothern Greece). Average time of sea trip is 2,5 hours. The population of the island is approx 3000 people.
