Folegandros islandFolegandros is a small, charming and sunny Greek island in the Aegean Sea, which, together with Sikinos, Ios, Anafi and Santorini, forms the southern part of the Cyclades. Its surface area is about 32 km 2, it has 40 km of shores and 667 inhabitants. It is located between Milos and Sikinos islands, 4 miles from the port of Piraeus. The island has 3 major villages, Chors, Karavostassis and Ano Mera, which is also the capital and is built on the breathtaking edge of a cliff 200m above sea level. Folegandros has a variety of beaches mostly accessible by foot or boat only and some by car or bus.

Folegandros is an island with many mountainous areas and a rocky ground. The island impresses all visitors with the alterations of scenery and the wild beauty of alternating cliffs and sandy beaches. The wild mountainous bulks, the lacy shores, the green fields and the traditional settlements, create a magical scenery.

It is one of the islands that has become fashionable the last years, but is still an untouched piece of true Greece. On account of the simple and relaxing atmosphere that reigns all around the island, we like to distinguish it as the "island of Peace". Folegandros is connected with Piraeus port by hydrofoil and the trip takes four hours. It is also connected with the rest of the Cyclades islands.
